Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Bangalore Kendra is setting up a School at Ward No. 24, Srirampuram in Bangalore, with the objective of providing quality education to the children in the surrounding areas. The school is being set up in association with Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike at the location where a Mahanagara Palike school existed. To facilitate build a modern building necessary for the school, Bhavan arranged for demolition of the dilapidated building.

The Bhoomi Puja for this school was performed on February 8, 2009 in the august presence of Sri. Suresh Kumar, Hon’ble Minister for Urban Development & Parliamentary Affairs, Govt. of Karnataka, Sri. Dinesh Gundu Rao, Member of Legislative Assembly, Sri. Ramanuja, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Karnataka Regional Centre, Dr. Mathoor Krishnamurti, Director BVB, Sri A. Krishnamurthy, Director, MPBIM, and Honorary Secretary, BVB and Sri H.N.Suresh, Director Programs & Projects.

This school will provide the CBSE pattern of education to its students.

At a time when India 'rising', Corporates which are interested to rise upto the aspirations of thousands of children, are requested to join hands with Bhavan for taking our initiatives forward.

Each of these schools would require extensive infrastructure of upto 20 class rooms, 1-2 science laboratories, upto 50 computers, rest rooms, play facilities for about 1000 children that would cost millions of rupees.

Bhavan has firm faith in the generosity of the public and has embarked upon this noble cause and accepts donations from the philanthropic public who are interested in the spread of Education, Indian Culture and Art.
