We are blessed to be born in a land teeming with diverse cultures and resplendent art forms. India’s intellectual giants have immensely contributed towards the grand bubbling cauldron of knowledge. A constant medium of dispersing these ideologies has been our several art forms. Classical and folk-art forms have protected, nurtured and upheld the values of our land and culture.
Kala Bharati, formed by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru was started to impart an unparalleled education in art. Kala Bharath has today become a catalyst in encouraging youth to get tutored in an art form they are passionate about.
Kala Bharati offers a 5 years Diploma Course in Dance, Drama and Fine Arts (3 Years Junior & 2 Years Senior).
Classes are conducted every Saturday (4 pm – 6 pm) and Sunday (10 am – 12 pm).
Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Carnatic and Hindustani Vocal, Veena, Tabla, Mridangam, Ghatam, Keyboard, Flute and drawing courses are offered.
We keep adding to our list of courses regularly.
We only offer certification courses. External examiners with profound knowledge in their respective fields conduct both theory and practical examinations at Kala Bharathi.
.(Examinations are conducted for certification and are optional. Students can also pursue these courses as hobbies without appearing for exams)
Eminent artists of Carnatic and Hindustani like Vidwan T.A.S. Mani, Pandit Parameshwar Hegde, Vidwan M.T. Selvanarayana, Pandit Rajendra Nakod, Dr. R. Ganesh and many others have tutored several students and these pupils have grown on to become proficient artists as well
