The Vysasa Jyothi Award for the year 2019 was conferred upon Vedamurthy Vidwan Subbraya Ramachandra Bhatta on 20 July 2019. An eminent Sanskrit Scholar and an exponent in Sama Veda, Vidwan Subbraya Ramachandra Bhatta.

Present at the event were Shri. P. V. Narasimhan, Trustee, Jyothi Charitable Trust, Dr. P. V. Narayan noted Kannada writer and scholar, Dr. T. S. Ramesh, former Principal and HOD of Sanskrit Department at Poornaprajna Evening College, Shri. H. N. Suresh, Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru.

A befitting ode to the scholar was given by the students of Mallikarjuna Veda-Sanskrit Pathashala with the chanting of Vedas.
