Born into a family with strong musical traditions, Pandit Prof. Anandraj Gonwar pursued Hindustani Vocal in Gwalior and Rampur Sahaswan Gharana. His early training started under Pandit Hanumanth Rao Gonwar, and then he went on to be tutored by Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan. Prof Gonwar has been fortunate to have been guided by the late maestro Pandit Puttaraja Kavi Gawaii. Armed with an M.A in Hindustani Vocal Music, Pandit Anandraj Gonwar has performed at the Republic Day concert organized by the Central Government. He has been conferred with the titles of ‘Yuva Rathna’ and ‘Sangeetha Pratibha Kirana’ by Ekta Charitable Trust and Sri Ram Seva Mandali, Nasik respectively.
