Prithvi Vallabh

Overview

Shri. Kanhaiyalal Maneklal Munshi, lovingly known as Munshiji, the founder of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan was not only a freedom fighter, politician and an environmentalist but also a prolific writer. His most poignant piece of literary work is Prithvi Vallabh, which was also adapted on screen by Sohrab Modi. Prithvi Vallabh features the animosity between two neighbouring rulers Munj and Tailap, Munj’s righteousness falls prey to Tailap’s cruelty whilst entwining the emotions of Mrunalvati, Tailap’s sister. Sohrab Modi’s Prithvi Vallabh received rave reviews for its storyline, spectacular star cast and production grandeur.
